医院建筑作为综合性特别强的建筑，随着医疗设备的不断改进，其装备系统内容繁多、功能复杂，而且要求各不相同【1】。
医院建筑给排水的设计，不仅要从医院的建筑功能上做考虑，还要符合医院的实际使用要求。
同时对给排水专业所涉及各系统，既要考虑医院各设备使用差异性、特殊性，又要考虑其共同性，来合理安排，集散结合，节约能源，减少浪费【2】。
2.充分利用市政给水管网水压市政管网可提供一定的供水压力，既然考虑用有限资源降低有限成本，则在设计初应首先考虑充分利用市政给水管网水压。
尽量利用外部给水管网的水压直接供水。
在外部管网水压不能满足整个建筑或建筑小区的用水要求时，则建筑物的下层或地势较低建筑，应尽量利用外部官网水压直接供水，上层或地势较高的建筑物则采取设置加压和流量调节装置供水【3】。
