1.Introduction
1.1 Research background
Politeness is the minimum ethical norm for maintaining normal social life. It is an important factor to ensure the success of communication. It is also an external manifestation of onesideological and moral level, cultural accomplishment, and communicative ability.
In the 1950s, the American sociologist Goffman raised the question offacefrom the perspective of sociology; in 1973, Leech (1983: 81) proposed Politeness Principal. Since then, there have been numerous studies on politeness at home and abroad, but the impolite phenomenon as opposed to the phenomenon of politeness has not attracted the attention of scholars until the end of the 20th century and the beginning of the 21st century. Among them, Mock Politeness, as a special politeness / indecent assault, has attracted more and more scholars attention, and has become an emerging hot topic in recent pragmatic research. However, the current pragmatic research on mockpoliteness mostly focused on theoretical research, which has not received enough attention. Therefore, this article will delve into mock politeness.
Mock politeness is a concept between politeness and impoliteness, which seems to be in line with the principle of politeness, but it poses a threat to the other party and achieves the effect of impoliteness.
1.2 Need forthe study
Compared with the study of the principle of politeness and the risingdevelopment ofimpoliteness, the study of mock politeness has not received enough attention. Mock politeness is marginal in pragmatic studies at home and abroad. Although both politeness and impoliteness research involve mock politeness, few scholars have listed mock politeness separately for in-depth analysis. In addition, there is a link between mock politeness and politeness and impoliteness. The results of this study can complement the study of politeness and impoliteness.
There are many studies analyzing mock politeness from different perspectives, such as the perspective of adaptation theory, the pragmatic perspective of interpersonal relationship management, and the perspective of politeness principles. However, there are few studies on the implementation of mock politeness from the perspective of pragmatic identity construction
1.3 Research purposes
The present study aims to investigate how the speaker in the melodrama can threaten the obedient aspects by constructing his own pragmatic identity to implement mock politeness to the listener. That is to say, the dynamic selection of pragmatic identity is a process and can be followed regularly, but in order to answer the question if the law is also suitable for mock polite speech acts, this research will combine identity construction and mock politeness, and try to explore how the speaker constructs pragmatic identity in mock politeness. Therefore, this article will analyze the dialogues in Why women killas corpora of several different identities constructed by mock polite implementers and different pragmatic functions of those identities.
